V2-40

The Lighthouse Series is SOFAR’s flagship permanent-magnet variable-speed booster. Developed for the home, it combines a smaller housing, quieter operation and intelligent control. The design draws on the work of SOFAR’s engineers to rethink the appearance and layout of a traditional water pump.

Guide to the product sheets

Sheet 1Lighthouse permanent-magnet variable-speed booster. The original flagship-store graphic highlights phone control, adjustable pressure, quiet constant-pressure operation, compact size, a two-year warranty and on-site installation.

Sheet 2The new-generation Lighthouse booster offers adjustable constant pressure, phone control and compact installation.

Sheet 3The brochure highlights water cooling, a stainless-steel body, automatic power adjustment, a digital display, several protection functions and stable pressure when multiple outlets are in use.

Sheet 4Low mains pressure can stop a water heater from starting and leave too little flow at the kitchen sink.

Sheet 5Fluctuating pressure can make a shower run hot and cold and prevent a solar water heater from filling.

Sheet 6Tap and shower photographs compare outlet flow before and after boosting.

Sheet 7Continuation of the before-and-after shower comparison.

Sheet 8The house diagram shows peak demand at a shared shower, a bathroom and the kitchen. A constant-pressure booster helps maintain a steadier supply when several outlets open together.

Sheet 9The lower-floor example in the diagram shows a boosted kitchen supply.

Sheet 10The diagram compares pressure at a row of outlets. With ordinary boosting, pressure may fall at a distant tap. The variable-speed pump adjusts delivery as more taps open.

Sheet 11The illustration shows a steady supply at the outlets farther along the pipe.

Sheet 12The pump uses a water-cooled permanent-magnet motor. The cutaway shows the motor and pump components.

Sheet 13The motor comparison advertises a wide voltage range, lower noise, a design life of 10–15 years and 30% energy savings relative to a conventional motor. Model-specific electrical ratings are listed on the specification sheet.

Sheet 14The thick-walled 304 stainless-steel housing and outer finish resist rust and corrosion.

Sheet 15Close-up of the outside finish and underlying stainless-steel shell.

Sheet 16The illustration contrasts water from a stainless-steel pump body and head with water discoloured by corrosion in a conventional pump.

Sheet 17The controller senses water demand. Opening a tap starts the pump. Closing it stops the pump and protects it against running without water.

Sheet 18Water flowing through the pump cools the motor and helps reduce operating noise.

Sheet 19For hot and cold water up to 80 °C. The brochure instructs users to enable frost protection manually in the SOFAR control mini-program below 1 °C, including when temperatures fall below freezing at night.

Sheet 20Continuation of the hot-water and frost-protection graphic.

Sheet 21The brochure lists IPX6 protection for the pump housing and illustrates operation in wet conditions.

Sheet 22The pump can be operated at the panel or by phone. The panel has increase, decrease and power/mode keys. Hold the increase and decrease keys together for three seconds to unlock it. The drawing also identifies the outlet and air vent.

Sheet 23Use the phone mini-program to monitor the pump and change its pressure setting. The display includes water-shortage and frost protection status.

Sheet 24The compact inline housing is pictured next to a 1.5-litre bottle to show the space required for installation.

Sheet 25The product detail shows the corrosion-resistant stainless-steel casing, touch controls, inlet and outlet.

Sheet 26The built-in check valve prevents reverse flow. A pressure sensor feeds measurements to the controller.

Sheet 27The comparison traces the change from manual and automatic boosters to fan-cooled variable-speed models and water-cooled permanent-magnet designs. The Lighthouse adds phone control, hot-water compatibility, low-temperature protection and memory after a power interruption.

Sheet 28The labelled drawing identifies inlet, outlet, flow direction, air vent, 304 stainless-steel body and outer finish. The control panel shows live pressure and has increase, decrease and power/mode keys.

Sheet 29Lighthouse V2-40 is rated at 100–450 W with a maximum head of 40 m and maximum flow of 4.2 m³/h. V3-45 is 100–600 W, 45 m and 5 m³/h. V4-48 is 100–800 W, 48 m and 6 m³/h. All three use DN25 ports and 160–240 V, 50–60 Hz power. Other limits are 80 °C liquid temperature, IPX6 enclosure protection and class F insulation. The drawing shows a 270 mm body length and diameters of 88 and 94 mm.

Sheet 30The performance curves plot pump head in metres against flow in m³/h for the three DN25 models.

Sheet 31Selection guide. The V2-40, V3-45 and V4-48 are illustrated for apartments, houses, villas and split-level homes, with an approximate net weight of 5 kg. The V6-50, V8-55 and V10-60 cover larger homes and villas at around 8 kg. The brochure gives approximately 45 dB for both groups.

Sheet 32Home and commercial systems can connect several pumps in parallel to match load. A duty/standby arrangement helps maintain service at peak demand and during maintenance. The illustrations show an assembled booster set and a packaged variable-speed set.

Sheet 33Installation overview. Unpack the pump, fit the inlet and outlet unions, tighten them, and observe the flow arrow for horizontal or vertical mounting. The sheet shows power connection, startup and QR-code activation after checking the pipe connections.

Sheet 34The original sheet reproduces a CE verification document for the illustrated Lighthouse models.

Sheet 35The FAQ explains the permanent-magnet motor, water cooling and adaptive pressure control. The Lighthouse combines them with Bluetooth, pressure and temperature sensors, multi-pump control and dry-run protection.
