On 8 August 2022, SOFAR began selling its new-generation Lighthouse permanent-magnet variable-speed pumps. The launch marked a milestone for the independent Chinese brand. With its own factory and in-house research and development, SOFAR develops the technology it needs locally.

The 12th Shanghai International Pump, Pipe and Valve Exhibition was scheduled for 3–5 June 2024 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Hongqiao, Shanghai. The 60,000-square-metre exhibition was to feature more than 1,200 brands, including Grundfos, SOFAR, Wilo, ANDRITZ, DAB, Pentair and Pintek. Organizers expected over 55,000 professional buyers from water supply and drainage, design institutes, municipal, building and environmental engineering firms, distributors, water utilities and wastewater plants, and the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and textile industries.

The 134th Canton Fair took place in three phases in 2023. The first ran from 15 to 19 October, the second from 23 to 27 October, and the third from 31 October to 4 November.

The Canton Fair Press Centre reported that by 19 October, more than 100,000 overseas buyers from 210 countries and regions had attended in person, a substantial increase on the same stage of the 133rd fair. Nearly 70,000 came from Belt and Road partner countries, up 65.2% over the same period.
