Guide to the product sheets

Sheet 1The Sailing Series is a permanent-magnet variable-speed booster with five settings. The brochure describes quiet operation around 40 dB.

Sheet 2Features include a permanent-magnet motor, automatic start and stop, LCD panel, five frequency settings, dry-run protection, a stainless-steel impeller and a compact footprint smaller than a sheet of A4.

Sheet 3Examples of low-pressure problems include weak water heater and shower flow, slow kitchen taps and unreliable smart-toilet flushing. The brochure also addresses noise and energy use.

Sheet 4A brushless permanent-magnet motor, water cooling, flow sensing and a compact housing provide quiet pressure boosting for the kitchen and bathroom.

Sheet 5Continuation of the household installation illustration.

Sheet 6Applications include mains boosting during peak demand, improving smart-toilet flushing, starting a water heater and stabilizing overhead shower pressure. SOFAR advises selecting a model to suit the household.

Sheet 7The compact S1 occupies less floor space than a sheet of A4. The comparison illustrates how its five settings and quieter operation suit installations with limited room.

Sheet 8Comparison of the pump’s adjustable pressure, materials, space requirements and automatic protections with other pump configurations.

Sheet 9Continuation of the feature comparison.

Sheet 10The brushless permanent-magnet motor reduces losses and heat generation. The brochure’s comparison reports 70% less noise, 30% less energy use, 60% longer motor life and a 50% lower fault rate.

Sheet 11Continuation of the motor illustration.

Sheet 12The water-flow controller detects opening and closing taps, starts the pump on demand and stops it when the outlet closes.

Sheet 13The power chart illustrates five settings. SOFAR gives 250 W for a typical household on setting three and an example of 1 kWh for four hours of use at that power. Actual use depends on demand.

Sheet 14The brochure gives an operating sound level of 36–40 dB, compared with 20 dB for leaves rustling and 60 dB for conversation.

Sheet 15Five pressure settings are available. Self-diagnostics cover excess pressure, temperature, water shortage, locked rotor, abnormal voltage and overcurrent.

Sheet 17The S1 Plus uses 304 stainless steel for the pump head and water-contact parts to resist corrosion.

Sheet 18The image reproduces customer reviews of the S1 and S1 Plus. Buyers describe the installation experience, pressure at multiple taps, quieter operation and the five pressure settings.

Sheet 20Design details include large inlet and outlet ports, an electronic control panel with fault alerts, a faceted pump head and a matte-finish casing.

Sheet 22The S1 has a nickel-plated head and the S1 Plus a stainless-steel head. Both are rated at 400 W with 35 m maximum head and 60 L/min maximum flow. Each measures 249 × 185 × 203 mm and weighs 5.5 kg. The five settings are 180, 230, 250, 330 and 400 W, with respective maximum heads of 17, 21, 25, 27 and 35 m and maximum flows of 47, 51, 55, 58 and 60 L/min. The enclosure rating is IPX3.

Sheet 23The five performance curves plot head against flow for the power settings in the specification table.
